How to find M2
This guide uses bright stars first, then narrows the field for a telescope or binocular finder. Use Pegasus as the main sky landmark.
Follow the route from one recognizable star to the next until you reach M2.
M2 is 48° above the horizon toward the Southwest.
Use Pegasus as the large-scale sky landmark before following the numbered route.

From Enif, move about 4.3° toward the south until you reach field star · mag 5.7.

From field star · mag 5.7, move about 4.1° toward the south until you reach field star · mag 6.4.
